What’s this about ?
An electrocardiogram (ECG) is the recording of the electrical activity of the heart, necessary for its contractions.
How is the exam conducted ?
Lying on the back, bare chest, 4 recording electrodes are placed with bracelets on the limbs and at least 6 on the chest. A contact gel allows them to adhere to the skin. The trace appears immediately on the recording screen.

- Ne pas fumer
- Ne pas mettre de crème sur le thorax (risque de non adhérence des électrodes)
- Raser les thorax poilus
- Se reposer

- Systématique en cas de consultation en cardiologie
- Troubles du rythme cardiaque
- Malaises et syncopes
- Douleurs dans la poitrine
- Essoufflement
- Suspicion de dilatation du cœur
- Suivi des maladies cardiaques
